It is generally used in salads, fish dishes and yoghurt-based sauces (tzatziki).
Similar to fennel in aroma and properties, when used as an infusion, dill aids digestion and soothes colic pain.
Dill prefers full sun and cool, well-drained soil. This plant can tolerate temperatures a few degrees below freezing, but as a precaution, it is best to shelter it in a greenhouse during winter. Water as required.
