Thyme

A highly regarded herb, thanks to its digestive and carminative properties, it makes dishes easier to digest. It is used to flavour meat, fish, vegetables, sauces and even liqueurs and vinegar.
A shrubby plant that prefers light, well-drained, calcareous soil; thyme grows well in a sunny spot. Water as needed; it does not like waterlogged soil.
